Targeted Assistance

Targeted Assistance: Administered through formula grants and discretionary grants to state and state-alternative programs in counties or areas where there is a demonstrated lack of the necessary services to promote economic self-sufficiency for refugees. Insufficient social services may be due to especially large refugee populations and concentrations as result of both resettlement and secondary migration causing high use of public assistance programs.
